Yes the pad is made from 100% wool. I'm sorry but we do not have any non wool options.

How to deep clean the filter?

A:
Boil them for 10 minutes. Cool them in cold water for 5 minutes, then wring the water out if them. Do this once a month, and have a few spare filters.
