Filtron 30L Cold Water Coffee Brewing System

I have two Filtron systems, the original I got when my parents passed away and a newer one I bought several years ago. I make two batches at one time. I discovered a better way then the paper coffee filters or no paper filter. I use cheesecloth, double ply, and put the coffee grounds inside and use plastic tie to close it. After 12 hours I pull the plug and all the syrup comes out in about 2 minutes. No coffee grounds to clog the thick bottom filter. Works like a charm. I buy it by the roll.

I've been using the Filtron system since 2000. I make a full container every week. I think the best coffee to use is Luzianne Coffee with chicory - dark roast. It is a mellow poor man's coffee that produces a superior cold brew result. It almost goes without saying but I'm saying it anyway: the Filtron system makes the best coffee I have ever tasted.

I have been a filtron user now for between 8-9 years. I broke my "BUNN" and in my opinion, it was the best thing for coffee I could do in my house. I recommend it to everyone, and I buy them when I can for friends who also seem to like the flavor for later gifts. Makes great Ice Slushy, ice-cream, and cake flavorings. Thanks!

Sometime in the late 70's Mom purchased a 2nd-hand Filtron from a neighbor. Mom used it for years, but quit coffee eventually. I asked if I could have it & she said yes. When I went to pick it up, she'd had it at yard sale with a price of 50 cents! Thank goodness no one bought it!! I've been using it for about 10 years. My husband bought a Toddy=not nearly as good. I love my antique Filtron!!

I have used both the Toddy brand and now the Filtron, I love the Filtron, produces great cold brew coffee. My customers come into my shop asking for cold brewed coffee, and also purchasing the Filtron unit, as well qs my fresh roasted coffee. The commercial unit is giving me the ability to brew for restaurants. Go Filtron!!!
